B&D Saturday League Division 5

After years in the Saturday afternoon bowling wilderness, the decision was taken this year to enter a team in the B&D Saturday afternoon league. As a new team, we had to go into Division 5. With 9 other teams in the league, there were 18 games to play home and away. The team have had the experience of different greens and have enjoyed meeting bowlers from different clubs who have all been very welcoming and have given many compliments about their visits to Blandford.

The great news is that the Blandford Blues have won the league and will be promoted next season. They have achieved 147points out of a possible 180 which was a marvellous achievement. Many congratulations to the team captain, Carl and everyone who has played their part, whether it was by playing 1 game or 18.

Well done to everyone and here’s to further success next season in Division 4.
