B&D Saturday League Division 4 2026

It was a tougher year following promotion from Division 5 with closer games and some disappointing results along the way. However as the season drew to a close, there were 3 teams in contention to win the league and it all came down to the final day with Blandford and Nuclear Electric playing each other to see who would be victorious. Wins on 2 rinks gave Blandford the points needed to secure promotion again as the champions. Congratulations to all those who played in the teams across the season and to the team captain Carl for taking Blandford from Division 5 to Division 3 in consecutive seasons.

B&D Saturday League Division 5 2025

After years in the Saturday afternoon bowling wilderness, the decision was taken this year to enter a team in the B&D Saturday afternoon league. As a new team, we had to go into Division 5. With 9 other teams in the league, there were 18 games to play home and away. The team have had the experience of different greens and have enjoyed meeting bowlers from different clubs who have all been very welcoming and have given many compliments about their visits to Blandford.

The great news is that the Blandford Blues have won the league and will be promoted next season. They have achieved 147 points out of a possible 180 which was a marvellous achievement. Many congratulations to the team captain, Carl and everyone who has played their part, whether it was by playing 1 game or 18.

Well done to everyone and here’s to further success next season in Division 4.
